So does it open this weekend? Perhaps I should go Saturday as a celebration of my newfound freedom. But my friend is also having people over to watch the Mormon Pride and Prejudice that night... decisions, decisions.

hrm... I have free tickets to ... whatever... that need to be used in the next 2 weeks. Maybe I, the naysayer, should make my wife go see it with me.

Sky Captain is rated PG. And after all, what could be more wholesome than watching 1940's style air-machines exploid.

Did you just say exploid?
"The Maintenance Shed will sometimes spontaneously explode after being built."

it's a cross between explode and exploit. Both of which happen.

A few girls in my program are going tomorrow night, so it looks like I'm going to see it tomorrow after all.

well, it's official. The guy who was the most vehement about htis movie sucking is seeing it opening weekend.

I have these free tickets that are only good till Monday, see, and I want to use them. DOn't see many movies, and this is my only real shot to do so.

Plus they're only good at one theater, and the choice was between Princess Diaries 2 and Sky Captain. Even if it does suck, it's gotta be better than a Disney chick-flick sequel.

Just got back from seeing Sky Captain. It leaves you feeling very comfortable. It's very nice.

As the guy that's been pushing this movie on people since last year I can now say I got everything I expected and a little extra.
I have to say I'm a little sad they didn't do any merchandising. Who wouldn't love to have toy versions of those robots on your desk?
Maybe it's just me but did anyone else keep thinking Ewan McGregor could have been switched for Jude in some scenes and no one would have noticed?

When I first saw the previews I thought it was ewan Mcgregor, And through out the movie I kept thinking "That has to be ewan Mcgregor...." so it was kind of weird
