I read a rather boring article about this movie today, but it did mention in passing that Susan Storm was played as rather shy and serious. So at least they got the character right (or at least in the right direction).

well, the movie is slated to open against Steven Speilburg's version of War of the Worlds, a movie that has more hype at the moment.

So, I'm predicting the Fantastic Four isn't going to do as well as the filmmakers would hope. It really needs to generate a lot more buzz and get some incredible reviews.

There is a 20 second clip that aired during Mtv's TRL over here. Don't know how long it will stay there...

The official trailer is also up now. I have to say from the split second of viewable Doom, he doesn't look too bad.

So that guy from Nip/Tuck (A show, not to belittle any of you, I'm rather certain most of you don't watch) is Dr. Doom. That's rad. But, somehow I feel like I'm going to be disappointed by this one. Somehow.

I get the same impression. I'm fairly certain that this movie is going to be lame.

I've been worried about it since I saw the first picture.

Actually, I've been worried about it since I heard it was being made. The picture only solidified my impressions.
They may still be able to pull it off, but I've got a bad vibe.

I really don't care for the guy playing Dr. Doom. Whenever I see him acting, he seems to be chewing a lot of scenery.

I think I will be dissappointed by this film.

i just watched the trailer
I'm a little happier about Ben Grimm
But I'm not impressed with Dr. Doom.

*sigh*

It looks like they're going for a standard supervillain story. the FF are supposed to be dealing with enemies of cosmic proportions.

Ya, that last trailor makes me as excited as the Electra ones.   The more I see of this movie the less I'm intrested.  Though to be honest, I've never realy cared for the FF.

Oh, and they need William Shatner playing Doc Doom, that would make me go see the movie.

omfrpg13, that's such a great casting call! Why weren't you on the production team Sprig?!

The newest trailer (at least I think it's new; I've never seen it before) actually makes me think the movie could work. I still haven't been convinced about Thing or Mr. Fantastic, though.

actually, the last time I downloaded quicktime there was nothing packaged with it. They must have finally realized that  there are people didn't feel the need to have iTunes as well as QT

I think my big hang up with the film is still Ben Grim. he looks wrong, and he sounds wrong. But yeah, I think the plot can work out.
