On second thought, let's not play that. It's a silly game.

Hey, I LIKED Dragon Warriors.  It was like basic D&D with some thought into it.  Not very historically accurate, given, but simple, complete, and a lot of fun with some pretty cool ideas.  I loved the monster descriptions, several of which were totally unique to the game, as well as the simple yet thorough magic system.  While not a brilliant game, my mates and I whiled away many hours adveturing in this quasi-Europe.

As a matter of fact, now that you have me thinking about it, I might take some time later to flip through my old DW books :

:)

And you are more thn welcome to post reviews of old board games as well.  If anybody out there wants to review Talisman or even  Necromunda, that would be great!

Since necro just got re-released, its not really appropriate.
If you're ever in an argument and Entropy winds up looking staid and temperate in comparison, it might be time to cut your losses and start a new thread about something else :)

And we should have a Talisman review, unless it didn't survive the site transfer from way back when.

I'll whip some up. It appears to be a bit slower round here today, and If I can't get myself motivated into my project with Entropy (which keeps getting bigger) (yes, that is supposed to rouse curiosity that we won't satisfy until the unnamed release date), then I can whip out a couple reviews.

Some recent news on the old school front... Troll Lord games has reformed the Castle and Crusade Society, famous from yesteryear (in gaming at least).  They are going to publish a new Player's Handbook using the OGL to take all the good from 3E and combine it with the good from 1E while taking out all the trash.

They've been all over Dragonsfoot.org talking it up.  They promise it will make the old schoo D&Der proud in ways that Hackmaster didn't.

It looks promising.

Eh, not really news though.  It started in September.
