We've got a couch, and I've got friends with couches. No problems there.

Which Sheraton is it? I'm assuming it's the one at the Pru (Dalton St.). If so, it's just around the block. In fact, I think it's all in the same big building complex. If it's the other one (State St.), it's a mile or so, and a quick trip on the Green Line or a 20 or so minute walk.

It's the con hotel--it's connected to the convention center with an over-the-road walkway.

The nights are the second (Thursday) through the fifth (Sunday) checking out on Monday morning.  I suppose we could add Monday night, if you want.

This is also a cancelable reservation, so we can still look for something else.

no no, I just had the days wrong in my head. Thursday is the first day of the con, Monday is the last day. I want to travel on Tuesday. All seems good.

oh wait. What about this one I found. The $146/night one. That's cheaper. It's .4 miles away. is that too far for you?

The one we have will be $140 if only us two go, SE, and it's in the Con hotel.

A lot of the parties and things we're going to will go until the wee hours, and it's VERY nice to be able to pop back and forth between your room and the con.  .4 isn't too far away at all--however, if we're going to look for something cheaper, I think we should let the Sheraton reservation stand unless we can find something significantly less--like, in the $100-$120 range.

My friends are Cristie and Steven Charles, a married LDS couple living in the Cambridge area (I think). He's going to MIT, so they live somewhere around there. She got a masters in English from BYU, so there's a chance you might know her.

I never knew her. I was an MFHD major at BYU, actually, not an English major, so I don't know many people from the program besides TLE people and a couple people from a couple random classes.

In other news, I'm going to be getting my membership tonight! Brenna, any news yet on whether you'll be coming?

Sadly, no.  Chris and I are waiting to hear if we get jobs anywhere.  (I'm REALLY hoping we find out before July 31st....). The good news is that my father-in-law may be able to give me free plane tickets with his extra miles, but again, it all depends on where we end up.  Sigh.
I like change, but I really, really, really like to be the one in control of that change....

The hotel is still open.  I went ahead and reserved it, thinking that if you guys wanted to stay there, you could still buy in.

Otherwise, Eric and I will have the room all to ourselves!

Anyway, that means you'll have a cheap hotel if you go.

So it's official. I'm going!

I'm off now to the Hill Cumorah pageant. I haven't been camping in almost a year. Yay for me!

Um, yeah. It's only a 15 minute ride on the T, and less when I ride my bike. Not a problem. I'll hang out with you guys, then go home to my nice comfy bed.
