All of us know of the great Adam Sandler. He has been a part of so many hysterical movies that I don't have time to list them all. But out of the above-listed five, which one did you (or would you) most enjoy seeing?
-
I'm gonna have to go with Happy Gilmore. He's just so great in the movie–the scene in the bar is simply hysterical.
-
I liked Happy Gilmore. His other movies are just plain unwatchable, with the possible exception of the Wedding Singer which I don't remember hating.
-
Happy Gilmore FTW!
-
I'd either go with Billy Madison or Wedding Singer.
-
I was going to put Wedding Singer on the poll, but I had never seen it and didn't know if it was good or not. Sorry.
Happy Gilmore guys–what are your favorite scenes?
-
I absoltely hated Billy Madison. Love Happy Gilmore though. I voted 50 first dates, as I consider that one of the best romance movies period. Plus, I love the "realism" sandler throws into all of his movies. Plus, he plays off of Drew Barrymore better than any other woman. The chemistry is fantastic between them. Wedding Singer gets honorable mention.
-
Here, I'll edit the poll and everyone can revote for Weddign Singer if they want, OK?
-
I can't believe you left out the Waterboy and Big Daddy. I chose 50 First Dates from what was up there.
-
This is crap! Billy Maddison FTW!
-
Billy madison all the way for me!
-
Ummm darxbane it's really not that big of a deal. Sorry, but I haven't seen Big Daddy, and I haven't even heard of Waterboy.
What's FTW?

Ummm darxbane it's really not that big of a deal. Sorry, but I haven't seen Big Daddy, and I haven't even heard of Waterboy. And considering that no one else has mentioned it, it's probably not all that great….
What's FTW?
Waterboy would have to be in my adam sandler top 5, personally. I didn't care TOO much for big daddy, though.
FTW = For The Win

Shaggy, you can google the acronyms if you don't understand them. Then you can learn a lot more of them too.
To stay on topic, I picked Click. Love that movie. A little too much sex, but the general message of the movie I thought was fantastic.
-
Who else was in Waterboy? Anyone good?
Oh, I see. Thanks.
Yes, Click was great. I think Happy Gilmore was just a little funnier, though.…
-
Waterboy had Henry Winkler (the Fonz from Happy Days), and Kathy Bates (Misery, Titanic, Etc). However, who is in it is not that big a deal. It is about a simple guy who discovers he is a monster football player, due to his pent up rage from a lifetime of being picked on by everyone. I think it's hilarious, personally.
On a related note, while it was not my favorite Sandler movie, my favorite character from a Sandler movie has to be John Turturo's role as the butler in Mr. Deeds. "I think you underestimate the sneakiness sir!"

I love that character too. My family is always saying to each other, "I fear you underestimate my sneakiness."

This poll fails. :D
1. The Waterboy
2. Happy Gilmore
3. Mr. Deeds
4. 50 First Dates
5. The Longest Yard
6. Big Daddy
How many of those are one your poll? TWO. Of SIX. :P
(50 First Dates should be at the top of my list, but it just doesn't quite make it. The core of the movie was great, but it fell victim to all the irrelevant tangents it indulged in, like the kid on 'roids, or Sandler's idiot friend making dirty jokes. They didn't make the movie funnier, they brought it down. Sandler needs to realize (like Pratchett quickly did) that you can tell a serious story and still make it funny, and that will be stronger than one composed of pure silliness.)

This poll fails.
According to you. Which, because only you said it, means practically nothing to others.
Those are your favorite Sandler movies. Not everyone elses. So you can't say that the poll fails in general; it just fails for you. So if you don't like the poll options, don't post.
-
Mine is a tie between these movies:
Big Daddy - It was just a good movie. A grown man learning responsibility and Julien was just such a real kid, which you don't see too often in movies.
Don't Mess With the Zohan - The jokes were absolutely hilarious. I liked how somehow hummus related to everything. xD
Chuck and Larry - There was just so much truth in this movie. It was comical, but totally true on so many levels.

No, really, my opinion is the only one that matters. Didn't you get the memo? ;D
My post was meant to be lighthearted. Sorry you took it the wrong way.
-
Haha, no, I must have missed that one.
-
Am I a snob if I say Punch Drunk Love?
-
I voted for Wedding Singer, mainly for the eightys music and my total love for Drew. In the scene where she is singing 99 red luft ballons in the mirror she is so so cute.
I love Sandler and I am really looking forward to Funny People, I think he does semi-serious pretty well. I am glad someone mentioned Chuck and Larry, funny and with a message.

No, only if you say Spanglish.
Spanglish was amazing. But I do respect a division between and Adam Sandler movie and a movie that Adam Sandler was in. Does the Wedding Singer qualify on that line? It doesn't have Rob Schneider in it making Adam look classy by comparison.
