Title: Confrontation
Post by: Spriggan on June 30, 2005, 08:49:08 AM
has anyone played this before?  Some people are showing me how to play it today.  The game is a mix of warhammer and D&D minis in how it's presented (figures with stat cards).

It's popularity comes in waves in St. Louis.  A lot of people will be excited about it for a few months and then it dies again.

I've played one game.  The minis are beautiful.  The rules are okay, but kind of random.  That's about all I remember.

Ya I like the look of the minis.

Not sure about the rules, might play it a few more times since people there have spare armies they don't mind me using.

We played king of the hill and I had an undead horde and my opponent had Devourers, I took out 3 of his figs (about 230 points) and he took out about 150 points of mine (maybe 15-20).

I'm not sure if I like or hate the combat only after movement since it was to my advantage in this game.  I would move lots of small figs up to one large one and then be able to attack as a group even though they had different initiative orders.  On the other hand I don't like how you can't clear a path (unless you're using archers) speaking of archers I think they're too over powered since you are never allowed a defense against them.

Anyway I did have fun, don't care for the price since it's a metal game, but they do have nice figs.

I picked me up a Wolfen Zombie for keepsake
