TOKYOPOP hiring assistant editor for novels
« on: March 31, 2005, 06:40:26 PM »
Hey there all you wonderful people!!

This new job just got posted. So...check it out if this is your kind of thing. http://www.tokyopop.com/aboutus/jobs.php

(It says "Assistant Editors" but I think it means just one...umm...if I hear any more details I'll let you know.)

I don't think I'll be applying to this one at this time. But it's possible...
All Saiyuki fans should check out Dazzle! Emotionally wrenching action-adventure and quirky humor! (At least read chapter 6 and tell me if you're not hooked.) Volume 10 out now!

Now, uh, on the topic....

All Tokyopop staff should die!!!!!...I should try for the job just so I can go on a random killing spree in the proverbial office.

He he he he....fire....he he .....fire, yes....he he he hehehehe......die....fire...die....yes.

NB: I was going to use some capitalisation in this post, but realised that it is frowned upon and highlights my noobishness, so I've made up for that by using an equally inappopriate amount of exclaimation marks and by using the term 'noob' (though, I refrained from replacing the o's with zeros)

JP, does you country support pre-emptive euthanasia?
If you're ever in an argument and Entropy winds up looking staid and temperate in comparison, it might be time to cut your losses and start a new thread about something else :)

What's your beef? Initial D? Tokyo Tribes? Changed names in DNAngel? Love Hina's script and retouch quality sucking? I've only been here for a year, and things have gotten much better...

The funny thing about CLAMP names is lots of them are taken from cars, got to love it when the lady who writes them is legaley insane (and I'm not jokeing on that either, she's schizofrenic I beleave).
Screw it, I'm buying crayons and paper. I can imagineer my own adventures! Wheeee!

Speaking of Zone of the Enders, Ookla, my Blockbuster expanded it's movie section by almost double a day or two after your bachelor party. Talk about poor timing.

Speaking of novel editors at TokyoPop...is Nicole dead? You guys have had my manuscript for a year now.

She isn't dead. And it has not been a year. I haven't even worked here a year yet (close to 11 months though). Has she ever gotten back to you in the last 4 months?

...maybe once they hire an assistant things will go faster...maybe...

But how long did it take Moshe to get back to Brandon on Elantris? (I'm not saying that's a fair comparison at all, and I'm not saying I'm at all happy with Nicole's response time--I seriously thought she would get back to you quickly because she was just starting out, but I was clearly wrong.)

She talked to me the last week of February and said that she was working on it.

And I know it hasn't been a year, I just love hyperbole. So it's actually been about fifty years.
