I always thought the dragonmarks were one of the coolest aspects of Eberron, but they're so under-developed in the core book. From what I've seen of this book, they're actually as cool as they should be now.

I was impressed with this book as well.

The main beef I had with Dragonmarked was many of them made sense from a setting/story PoV but not from a game one like the two Hafling houses.  Why would you take hospitality over healing like I did if it wasn't for story because there's nothing good in hospitality in the core book.  But now there's a reason because of the new feats (like being able to use diplomacy to "convince" someone not to attack you) and prestige classes.  This is, in my mind, the best Eberron book since Sharn.
