Clone Wars
« on: April 12, 2004, 05:43:09 AM »
So, I know we've had a thread on this, but I can't find it.

Anyway, who's for Lucas simply giving up on Episode Three live-action and simply hiring Genndy to do an animated version for him?  These were far better than the first two movies.

...is Genndy the guy who did the animated ones on Cartoon Network?

Yes, the animated ones are called Clone Wars, Gemm.

I can't stand the "ADD one-minute long" format.  Drives me up the wall.

Ummm, you said nothing.  Oops.
I apparently mistook Sminja for you.  Probably has something to do with the fact that you keep changing your avatar so I no longer have a permanent picture associated with you.

Last weekend, cartoon network ran the series in half-hour blocks. It was a lot more watchable.

All I know is that the action figures suck. Even more than typical star Wars action figures do. Someone download all the episodes and burn them to CD for me or soemthing.

Ah, well I'll be sticking with this one. Unless others feel that Zoidburg knitting fits me better.

All I can say, SE, is that even with a dial-up you should try and watch them.  I thought they were amazing.

Near the end, there is a scene where Anakin is standing in a storm, drops of rain hitting his lightsaber and bursting into steam...well, it was just one of those moments in storytelling that remind me why I'm a writer.  The entire series is fantastically directed, acted, and plotted.

I'm not in to the whole prequel story line, but this series is fun to watch, if only for the art directing.  Same guy who does Samurai Jack.  It's beautifully awsome.

Mega lame.

George Lucas wants me to give him $40 to see a cartoon he didn't write or direct.  That's about stupid.

ANd no, it is NOT on CN's site anymore.

If you get to watch them fullscreen, than he doesn't say it. You can't watch them even small screen without the membership, just see that they exist.

Why I should pay for Lucas to advertise to me I'll never know, which seems to be all the rest of the SW.com content.

Well the cartoon series did so well that Lucas ordered more of them.  So you'll probaly see the old ones appearing back on CN.com once those are out (early next year).   I'm stoked for a DVD of them all becasue there's nothing like wathing all of them in a row.
