It would be cooler if they made the conference attendees wear bracelets that injected them with a lethal poison once they exceeded 3 hours.

Much, much cooler.

Three hours at a con with possible death involved: $20. One day at the con: $75. Impersonating an author, Ethan Hunt style, and getting in for free: priceless.

What's this about Ethan Hunt?
All Saiyuki fans should check out Dazzle! Emotionally wrenching action-adventure and quirky humor! (At least read chapter 6 and tell me if you're not hooked.) Volume 10 out now!

Just got an invitation to be on the program.  Huzzah!  It includes two free memberships, too, which is awesome.  Now maybe I can get Mrs. EUOL to go.  (Who, by the way, has yet to pick an internet nickname.  Can't just call her Emily.  It...just doesn't seem right.)

It might be time to start talking about who is going to go up when, and start arranging preliminary car rides, so I can know when I'll be available for paneling and when I won't.

Which reminds me--I really won't be able to go. I'll have 4 books to edit that month, and after going to ALA and going home the previous month (about 2 weeks out of the office), I'll probably be behind.

So, I'm going to cancel at least one of my rooms. Of the people that will be in the other, would someone like to take over the reservation so that it's no longer in my name/credit card?

Well shoot, it really is time for me to buy my membership. I'm pretty flexible on when I can go up and come back; the school issue is long since resolved. I can't drive, though.

The days the driving groups leave for LA and leave from LA will determine whether I ride/drive or just get a plane ticket.  Do we know what day/time we're tentatively going to depart?

Hmm...I need to fix my avatar.

My room reservation runs Thursday-Sunday.

I plan to drive down, leaving either Wednesday after work or Thursday morning.  (If I leave Wednesday, I'd stop in Vegas overnight, then hit Star Trek: The Experience in the morning before continuing to L.A.)

I plan to drive back starting Sunday morning.

I should have room for up to three passengers both ways.

I'd like to leave Wednesday morning, if possible, and stay over Wed night.  I'm fine coming back Sunday.

Haven't heard a reply from the people in my reserved room. Was it anyone besides Shrain? I probably won't call for a while--I have up to the day before to cancel--but I'm not waiting till the last minute. I'd like to take care of it before I head out for ALA at the end of June.

I'm still planning on driving, and I'm open to leaving whenever. I can safely take two people, four if we squish, and depending on how things go, I may be able to take up to 6 people.

I could take four people, too, except I've got an elephant in the glove compartment.
