Somebody has to write all those little playtips for the figure gallery, and it might as well be me. Or you, I guess, but I'm still applying.

haha, the sample they want is for Black Manta.
-
If you can find a use for Black Manta, you deserve a job with Wizkids.
-
They realy should have used a figure that dosen't allready have a playtip, the problem with Black Manta is he's allready got one that covers all his uses.
-
So I made the first cut, and now they want a playtip for Moon Knight. I think this one might actually be harder, since Moon Knight is a little more generically useful than Black Manta (for Manta I just wrote a mini-tactics article on how to use mobile terrain, and plugged in his name). Any thoughts on Moon Knight?

sweet. That means that you'll have to give away any free Whizkids stuff you get (though I assume that it'll mostly go to sprig and kije).
But as you know, I don't know clix from Adam. So I'm here more in a cheerleading than coaching role.

So after finding moon knight (http://www.wizkidsgames.com/heroclix/marvel/figuregallery.asp?unitid=4574) on the wizkids website, i'd have to say his main strength is his speed. His powers and speed score are pretty amazing for pushing him forward, so i'd focus around that I suppose. His other scores are pretty average but very good for his cost (i was looking at the rookie one).

wow, stealth and Willpower that's a riot.
I would write how his stealth and l/c let him be a "commando" unit that's designed to get to, and take out, support figures. Even if you cannot hit tha support figure you can get next to them to keep them from hitting, but he does 2 damage which is enough to knock some healers out of support and with a range of 4 it means you can use stealth to your advantage.
-
Yeah, that's the route I'm thinking I'll go. Someone nice and cheap who can get in, smack healers and con artists and other support figs, and then jump out with Leap/Climb.
Incidentally, this is really making me wish I had an Experienced Moon Knight; all I have is the vet. Anyone want to trade?

And it's a big kick in the pants for me. The email stressed that despite not being chosen I was still a ery good writer, and they'll contact me about future opportunities if they become available...but at the same time, the email was addressed to "applicant" so I don't know what to think. It is, however, the kindest and most heartwarming rejection letter I've ever received.
-
well, you DID at least make a second round, right?
-
The guy who was in charge of this posted over at HCRealms that he didn't mean to sound rude or dismissive but wanted the letter to be professinal, he aslo said there were only about 250 applicants in the first round.
-
It wasn't rude or dismissive, like I said it was very warm and fuzzy--it was just weird to have such a glowing personal letter adressed generically.
-
I know, I was just paraphraseing Brother Magneto's comments.

Who is displeased at your lack of accuracy. Wait, wrong villian.
