Hurricane update: Day 4
Power and water came back yesterday. So besides people who stored valuable yet non-water-resistant items in their flooded basement, and the tree pruners/landscapers, I'm calling the hurricane "over"

Well its not over for my family in tidewater who can expect to be without power for another week and drinking water for about 4 days. VA Beach, Portsmouth and Hampton Rhodes got smacked down hard.

Oh and for anyone thats interested The US Coast Guard HQ bldg has 1.4 million gallons of water in its basement.

Thats 529958 cubic meters of water!!!!!

The word on the street is that we will be able to go back into the building on December 9th, because the building needs to be thouroghly inspected and tested.... that much water can really mess up a load bearing wall.
