I know it's not really a tabletop game, based on the definition we gaming geeks typically use for the phrase "tabletop game," but where else am I going to put it? And it does, after all, require a Sturdy Table.

which you get on top of. This game reminds me a lot of The Totally Insane Card Game, where two or three players can engineer who will be victor anywhere on the table in a game of a dozen people. However, you do not get on the table with that one.

This is almost one of those 'has to be played'.  I've taught maybe 10 people this, and it's fun to see the boredom in their faces (because after all, eveybody has played uno, and everybody knows the modifications), but after the second game (it always takes two), everybody is having much more fun than they expected...

The diplomacy phase always turns out to be enjoyable.

Actually, I'll be more interested when they release FULL-contact Uno. Clear away the chairs, deal the cards, and have at it.

full contact uno has no chairs or table. You just start beating people up and slapping down cards. Such a violent sport
