Does your wife have time off too, or are you going it alone?

I've been playing NES emulator games... some of them are kinda cool (gunsmoke), others are super lame (Conan).
I am the Immortal One hidden from the dawn; I am the Emperor-King after day has gone.

Looks like I'll be joining in the night crew tonight as I don't have to go to clinic tomorrow and WoW is currently down.

Tell you what, this has been a bummer of a night for games:

1) One of the RPGs I'm in (a Savage Worlds steampunk game) was kind of a bust as it was little more than a shopping trip.  I missed too much of this game when I was out of the country...I just can't get into it much.  I only go to spend time with my friends.  At least its near its completion.

2) So I decided I'd get a few quests done in WoW once I got home...then the server crashed within thirty minutes.  Still not back up yet.

3) So I'll play some XBOX Live...only to find my XBOX appears to be broken.  Just peachy.

On a side note, I got Heroquest a few weeks back and really dig it.  I just don't like Glorantha (despite its enormous age and fanatic fans).  Then I picked up Castles and Crusades and it pulled at my old-school heartstrings.  I'm working on a dungeon to run in my head...

I'm so easily swayed...

I hated Glorantha from the initial book too, but the setting grows on you, especially if you get the hero's book or Dragon Pass book. They just dont give enough background  to really play the game in the main rules.

That truly is a bummer their P. But we would be glad to have ya.

Mad Doc, I can't really tella what you should do in DC. If I was there I might go to the Smithonians, but you probably have done that a thousand times already. Here in the backwaters, I would spend the day smoking little clay pigeons with my trusty "Blue", with a Morgan by my side.

I knew quite a bit about Glorantha from a ways back.  One of my friends was a RuneQuest fan and another is a Greg Stafford nut.  It's an interesting setting, but just not for me.

I do love the HQ system though.

see I'd paint my new Warmachine minis (I got some Khardic artillery) but its too cold and wet. I'd go out driving, except thats no fun by yourself. I dont like movies by myself, I dont want to hang out on the computer all day and I dont want to shop.

I could work out, but thats an hour...

sigh

Im kind of out of the writing mood too...

sigh

Still up for buying my WM figs, Jeffe?

I know you said something about waiting until late January.

They're still here if you want 'em.

I'm in no rush to sell.  There are some folks here that would buy, but I'd rather sell them to someone who wants them, not someone who would eBay them right away.  So no rush, just let me know when you're ready.

X box would be good, but Its kind of like hanging around playing the computer...

And sadly after working many a night in front of 2 lcd screens in poor light there are times I dont want to sit in front of a screen.

I know what you mean. After being in front of a tube all day, you get kind of sick of it. What about lazin around reading a book? Always ejoyable past time. Or even build a Tesla coil! Yeah, then you could hook up cute little kitties and zap them so they make funny sounds. I can't wait for my outage to be over so I can build my tesla coil! Then, here kitty kitty kitty. :D

I have the exact opposite problem...I'm around people all days, which is both good and bad, so when I get home I'd ready to plop in front of the comp and turn my brain off for a while.
