You know it's fall when you go into a local grocery store/corner shop and find in the refrigerated section Apple Cider. Holy crap I love this time of year so freaking much!
I'm about to explode with appropiateness as I get over the rather hefty price of cider and down gallon after gallon of it for the next 6-9 months. That's right. Cider is so popular around here, it even last through winter, and possibly into spring.
So, add what you think makes fall fall.
-
It gets colder, and I like cold.
Also, it the time of year when all my comfort foods just seem to taste better--cookies, hot chocolate, stews, soups, and the like.
-
When the colors turn, it is really pretty around these parts. Especially when the leaves cover the ground too.
-
When I'm both leaving for and returning from work in the dark. Which really really sucks.
Also, when it's no longer feasible (to my consternation) to go about in shorts and sandals.
Also, when going for a walk to get a cold smoothy and walk home slurping it no longer sounds like an appealing past time
also, when I have to stop mowing and start raking the stupid yard.
also, when I start getting Seasonal Affective Disorder and become even less motivated to do my work.
thank heaven I don't live in New England.

SE, are you saying you do not like Fall?
-
No.
I'm *implying* it.
-
What time of year do you enjoy Mr. SE?
-
summer
-
Autumn is my favorite season, because you get the same cool, temperate weather as spring but without a summer's worth of yard work hanging over your head.
-
WHen you walk inside covered in leaves
-
When pomegranates are in the produce section and large bags of tiny candy bars are in the seasonal section.
-
When lots if candy is in the stores for Halloween. ;D Also when the weather is just right. :)
-
When i can get my big comfy heavy blankets out again to sleep under.
-
when any form of clouds at all begin to finally cover up some of the monotonous blue here in SB, unfortunately there will be not a drop of rain until late winter...and of course never any snow...so sad...seriously I love rain and it only happens in december and january here.
-
When pomegranates are in the produce section.
Dude! I love pomegranates! They should be fed to me through a straw if I ever turn into a vegtable, and should be eaten by everyone, every single day.
-
You can gorge yourself on all the delicious plums from the trees!
-
oh I forgot to add, a lot of out of town friends visit, I go on a road trip to santa fe, I reconnect with the world outside of my head by spending time in trees when it rains.
-
... when I wanna make lots of apple pies and curl up on my couch with cocoa. I sure love the beautiful foilage out here in New England. I want to drive through Vermont some weekend too.
-
When the low at night goes from the 80s one night to the 64s the very next. When people start planning the Halloween kegger for the high-schoolers[lets hope the parents don't drink it this year], when I go up to visit my uncle and the leaves in Tennesee ar such beautiful colors, WHEN ITS FALL/AUTUMN, EVERYTHING IS PERFECT! Plus, the best part, Fall Break!! ;D ;D ;D

Apparently, in step with this post, Fall has decided that it will concede the months of October and November to Winter.
Currently the snow falls quickly upon the city of Buffalo, and most likely the rest of Western New York. It had started, most likely, around 1 pm today. As I was headed to the Chinese food place for lunch, it was snowing somewhat freely.
When I had returned home, the snow began to form into larger clumps of flakes, and was then falling (as I said above) quickly and rather obstensively.
Perhaps Fall will make a brief comeback and it will reach into the 60 degrees sometime this month again. However, currently under 32 degrees marks the coming of Winter in Buffalo. And by my watch, that usually means it's here to stay.
-
hah! Not more than 20 minutes after I had posted about the coming of Winter had the clouds decided it was angry and released the most volumenious roar that I had heard from it in a while. It then proceeded to dump the rest of its contents upon this city.
Hhahaha! I love the scizto weather around here!
-
... it's cold enough to sleep under a down comforter!
-
I come down with Bronchitus. :P

...you go to your folks house and mom's been doing the holiday baking. Nothing's better than the smell of zucchini bread baking.
