Well, um...hmm.
That's not the villians I would have picked, and it is different than the rumors.
Okay, Franco's character was expected.
Not sure about Grace, he could do a great job or just be really dumb.
Church should do a great job.
-
hrm.. I'm not sure about Grace's character. My understanding was that this villain was optioned to another company long before Spidey 1 was made. Maybe Sony is investing a lot of money into it, or the other company gave it up.
Still, if it's true, I'm estatic. I'm all over getting that villain in a film, and then spidey 4 showing him back, and having to team with spidey, for the famous story line there. The thought makes me faint with joy.
-
I agree--that would rock. But I can't see Grace in that role. I can see Church in that role, however, which makes me think the "secret source" may have gotten the roles reversed.
I have heard the same thing about that villain being optioned separately, but really--is there any Spider-man you would rather see? He's one of the coolest villains Marvel has, and a very deep and popular character. They probably just bought the rights back so they could make sure to do him right.
-
Though I'm concerned with them doing the three villains thing, less time for venom if he is in it.

Thomas Haden Church has been confirmed as Sandman: http://spiderman.sonypictures.com/

i am just glad they are not doing vulture. I hate him so much! Sandman is pretty good though, if they only had hydroman too. I remember when they combined in one of the old cartoon episodes.
-
I think the Vulture could be done exceedingly well in the right hands
-
he just looks like some gay old man, stealing life is so cliche too.
-
/me looks into that account suspension thing again
(that was a joke)
I'm going to have to disagree with every important aspect of that post, though. Including the grammar.
-
well, i don't like him. maybe they could get that old creepy guy from family guy to play him ;)
-
well, he's a much better foil for Peter Parker than anyone else, including the Green Goblin.
think about it:
Peter Parker:
Young, "bright eyed," optimistic
stumbles into his gift
feels extraordinary responsibility because of his gift
suffers despite his attempts to do good and protect others.
The Vulture
Old, jaded, pessimistic
Creates his powers artificially
exploits his power to hurt others
struggles only for his own gain
He's a brilliant psychological opposite
-
i guess he is a good rival. just wishe looked better.
-
I'll agree with Cyan that the Vulture isn't all that cool looking, however if he was played by C. Montgomery Burns that would be a different story.
-
oh that would be good.
