Title: 2004, Good start.
Post by: Gemm: Rock & Roll Star; Born to Rock on January 08, 2004, 12:44:53 AM
So 2004. It has begun (I know I'm late with this, but shut-up). Since early sunday morning I have been talking with a girl. One that I've only met once, briefly. Monday evening we went to the movies. We had fun. And now, not more than a week since I've known her, we're going to the library tomorrow (thursday). I must say, this year is going well. So, now you can all be baffeled.

so long as you maintain your policy of not talking, it should last.

Because we all know that talking eventually leads to making out.

I think Gemm should be put in the corner, in the interest of saving the mental stability of the poor lass in question.

Yes, well we're all in the corner having a party. And right now I'm that thing that gets "passed around." Bunch of boldgers.

What's this? Having a party in the corner? I don't actually like cparties, so when I'm at one, I tend to go to the corner to avoid everyone. Doesn't work when everyone is in the corner though.

Gee, the Bottom Left corner looks nice and quiet. I'd like to go over there...

Well, part b. We went to the library on the 9th of our lovely January month. This was fun. We had many talks of various varients. We found some stuff at the library for my story. And now, for the end.

She drops me off, and joking says she'll walk me to the door. So we get out and are getting to the door. But surprise, surprise, my sister and her friend come out, as well as the dog. So instead we say our goodbyes and she goes on her way. So yeah, I was a happy camper. See that? I could have gotten a hug, or peck on the cheek, or maybe even a delightful kiss. Mercy have it, were I not such a patience person, there might have been some bad news in the news those days.

What? What is it with you two and not elaborating on your "genius?" (You two being Jeffe and SE) And no it won't. Whatever it is you're talking about.

Gemm, you are dumbfoundingly amazing.  Do you mind if I put you in a book sometime?

Yes, I would love to be in a book. But only if I get a free signed first edition copy of it. Otherwise, no. Those are my terms.

I was speaking seriously.  Don't be surprised if you're reading one of my novels, and a character with your particularly interesting speech patterns emerges.

No promises that I'll use you.  However, maybe some day...  Anyway, if you call me on it--and you're right--I'll send you a free copy.

First, do you have any novels already published? And two, you can count on me to let you know. Thirdly, I'll need a name to put with the book, so I'm not like some crazy person looking through every book for some semblance of me in the speech.

First book out May 2005.

As for the title, well, I'm just 'storing' the idea to use you potentially in the future.  I do that with a lot of people.  Most of the time I don't ask--this is what we authors do: steal personality quirks and use them in books.  We're a shameless lot.

No no. I mean, the title of the book. I know it won't have any rhyme or reason to it precisely telling me that "I'm" in it. I meant your name, as in the Authors name.

Oh, heh.  You know, you could just go read the 'introduce yourself' thread....

Brandon Sanderson's the name.
