Get your gaming on.

(yeah, I just wanted to say soemthing stupid.)

Mr. P has some really good tips here, to which I would add two: be kind and be humble.

Being kind means not making fun of the smelly guy or how others don't have dates. Obviously, some jests are all in good fun, but more of then than not, those jests are taken too personally, and that doesn't reflect a personality defect on the target, esp if he's the usual target. People who are the targets of such jokes in one group typically are in other groups, and it's more fun for everyone if you just get along. When the guy gets mad and storms out, it's not just him that loses the spirit of fun. Everyone loses a bit of it, so it's in your interest. Jokes are fine, just don't let them get personal.

Being humble means not talking about how great your other characters are or your current one is. Really, that your godlike character in that other campaign that destroyed Waterdeep? nobody cares. nuff said.
