no, but it does show that there's much less to worry about in American Beef than previously thought.

I was just reading about this in the NY Times. The thing is, it's not a genetic disease, it's an infectious disease. Plus, it seems to be affecting both beef and dairy cows. (Holsteins are dairy.) So it's not just beef you have to watch out for, it's milk etc. too.
