Off shoot from here (http://www.timewastersguide.com/forum/index.php?topic=7449.msg166582#msg166582)
So yeah, we need a new holiday, namely the "Everyone renames themselves Ookla The Mok (time period)". What's everyone else think? :P
How long should we do it? A day is likely not too much, and thusly many forum posters might not even see it. A month is probably too long and going to get confusing too fast. I think we should go with a week or so. Yay or nay?
Also, when do we want to hold this momentous occasion? Actually, does anyone know peter's birthday? that seems like it would be a pretty awesome time to hold it, to tie it in with the original Ook. :P
Also: Yearly, once, when we feel like it?
Unofficial TWG council (that is, essentially anyone who wants to weigh in) throw in your votes!

To differentiate between ourselves we could all chose different 'in' adjectives, like Brandon gives him in his books. We could have Indecisive Ookla the Mok, Interloping Ookla the Mok (;)), Indivisible Ookla the Mok, Impossible Ookla the Mok, etc. We could post here to make sure there are no double ups... Great Idea.

Not a bad idea. At least that way we can tell each other apart.

Per Facebook Peter's birthday is November the 26th.
Therefore I propose we do it every year from the 26th day of November until the 30th day of the same month. This is more than a day, yet less than a week. Enough for fun, but not too much to become annoying.
ALSO: I like Coma's idea about adding adjective for some semblance of separations.

Sounds pretty good to me. Anyone have any changes, other ideas, or what have you?
Edit: for the variable tags on each person, what if we have it like "Ookla the ________"?
or do we wanna keep "the mok" on for everyone?

I think we should keep "The Mok" in honor of the ThunderCats
-
hee hee. good times, those. Making random people lose the game on the chalk board...
-
he he
I agree them there be good times

Only problem is, now that we are all excited for "Ookla the Mokival" (or whatever we're going to call it), we are going to have to wait until november... we could do it in honour of my birthday (which started 52 minutes ago) ;)

So, TWG, now that you're back with us, we need to hold this as a belated holiday! Who agrees and what is everyone's opinion on when?

I think we should either change the date to Spriggan's birthday or the date in between Peter's and Spriggan's (a la president's day) to celebrate the forum rising again on the third month (though it was only down for slightly less than two months). Sacrilege. I has it. Nov 26 - Dec 14 could be our holiday season. We'd have to split it up into bits though so it wasn't just one long sameyness. Like the 12 days of Christmas, but more Time Wastery.
Or we could make the resurrection of the forum a different holiday. Like Thanksgiving is to Christmas.
When was the forum created? If that's nearby, stuff should be done.

I had nothing to do with the forum's resurrection.

Oh no! He's on to our antics. Quick scatter! (Hides behind potted plant). RAFO

*Starts throwing things from hiding at peter to get him to go away so we can once again talk about him in secrecy*

Thread-necro GO!
I vote we should just do it from the 26th of Nov through the end of Nov.
