** Kije detects a pathetic attempt at telekinesis.  He indulges in mockery anyways lest the poor soul lose what little self-confidence he must have.  "Plus," he muses, "it is fun."  He then sounds his barbaric mock upon the rooftops, making sure they can hear him in California: "Saidar Elder...of Camel Poo!  We know you sleep in piles of it."

does that work for you?

Just because I've always wanted to do that.

the same can be said of all of us, Venerable Ehlers.

Supererogation?  That's just God letting you think you're useful after you're dead.

Dear Catholics: the preceding should be taken at mock value only.  No serious theology implied.

just one of the many bands who sing a song that proposes that personal agency and worship of a supreme being are incompatible concepts

Hmm.  Supererogation is the doctrine that the good works of saints can be applied as "saving power" for the souls of others.  Basically, they go above and beyond the call of duty, and any extra good works they have can be applied to others who call upon them.  Any Catholics please correct me if I am wrong.

I refuse to admit any resemblance of ignorance in my previous post.

You know Kije, with a 5 month old, that accusation is more true than I feel comfortable admitting. Only it's mostly spit-up rather than poo.

mockery isn't nearly as much fun when it reveals the truth.
