Title: Working holiday
Post by: Mad Dr Jeffe on September 01, 2003, 07:58:47 AM
Well I planed to post my new review of Castle Falkenstein today, but I took the wrong disk which annoys me. Fortunately holidays have low call volume so I'll be able to read and watch the Two Towers (which I still havent seen)

Its interesting how much I see paralelled between the stories of Tolkien and the modern world. None of it was intentional, but I find that that is the hallmark of a great storyteller and a great story.

Anyhow I was just up in New York, and I had a great trip, one of the many highlights was the Museum of TV and broadcasting. The 10 dollar admission allows you to view the exhibits and gets you two hours of time in the video and audio library where you can select from a massive volume of tv and radio shows and watch them in a private booth. The catalog goes back to the late 40's for tv and its an interesting experience.

I'm working today too. Be leaving in about half an hour. I plan on finishing Pendragon and writing three or so reviews. They only asked for 4 volunteers to work today, and I'm the fifth, so hopefully there won't be enough actual WORK to keep me busy.

Does that mean that we can look forward to a new post in AORP?

actually, despite the fact that I was working (actually, probably because, as I'll be working all Saturday's this month) I decided to count today as a weekend day, being a holiday, and didn't hold myself to it. New post early in the morning. (early for me, which will be even earlier for you).

I actually got little of what I had planned done. I finished the last issue of TLE, I read some of Pendragon, and Jeffe and I completely redesigned the basic premise for the mechanics in Project Deep Blue. I also mocked a number of customers and Jeffe and I also playtested one of the games that CheapA sent us. I also schooled him in Buttonmen.

Si we were playtesting fools,

How is it that we always end up playing time travel games?

Now I just need to get weaving on Champions...
