Yet another classic rediscovered. Have you guys played this recently? I've got to say that it holds up to the test of time better than any other game I own. I'm re-addicted on the game and can't stop playing.
Best of all, wormNET is still operational. Any of you guys want to get a game on sometime?

Never played it, but Sega has reciently bought the rights to publish an updated networkable verson for the PS2 and XBox.

I can't find my copy, or I'd agree wholeheartedly. Even the first one was amazingly cool.
-
I have it, and i would love a game :)
I always loved the super sheep - i even unlocked the aqua sheep, which could go underwater. That was cool.
Best of all was the ability to ninja rope down, then fire a mad cow herd at the enemy worms just below you, then move back up again while the screams and explosions were going on below. Class.

but what was really classy was killing your enemies with a good shove...
....or a good airstrike :)
Saint and I used to play the original like crazy in college along with Scorch.
I don''t like worms armageddon as much because of the dumb freaking training mode (grenades get me every time....)
-
I think there's only six or seven training missions. I beat them all in one sitting and you don't have to play them. There's really nothing in the game you have to do, though you can unlock some stuff by getting gold medals. And yes, grenade training is by far and away the most difficult.
Entropy, we'll have to play sometime. Our only obstacle is our time difference.

Hum. I'm intrigued. If this is an old game, perhaps I can find it for free on-line.

EUOL, you should be able to find it on any P2P. It's probably a given that it is out of stock just about everywhere now.
And the training missions went into basic (you had to do em just to actually play single player missions) and then various advanced ones for each class of interesting weaponary. I only bothered with the basic training and the supersheep challenge, though i did get a silver in the ninja rope :)

Just watch where you get a cracked copy from if you go that route. My friend downloaded a version which gave him a nasty virus that Norton failed to pick up.
It's always on ebay for under $10 and well worth the investment.

I just discovered when looking at the patch that you cannot use a cracked copy - it just doesn't work with either the patch or worms.net.
So Ebay is your only choice.

nah, they have loads of copies in the bargin bins in most reputable computer stores...
