I think it's lame. 2 or 3 comments about a posted link is not out of line. Also, you should have said something about deleting them before you did, which would have prevented more comments.

maybe we should create a new thread called "Cool Stuff Found on the Internet with Commentary" where meta-cool stuff postings are allowed

that still sounds lame. Too much chatter I agree is over the edge, but I think it's out of line to make people find or even start another thread just to say anything.

I want to go to the Sokol, and rummage around The Garage! I want to meet the Orange Peel that I left on the floor and  took the good part and walked out the door! I want to meet the guy who said AHHH! at the Catalyst, and the guy who invented the gun that shoots flowers!
