Title: The Prince & Me
Post by: Brenna on April 24, 2004, 01:15:43 AM
Very much a chick flick, but lots of fun!

Julia Stiles is a fun actress. I've liked her in every movie I've seen with her in it.

Chris laughs at me, but I *will* own this movie. Even if I will always have to watch it by myself.

I was going to post on it last week but got distracted and forgot. I totally agree Brenna. The best part was the groundbreaking. "Farm girl!" She is SO me!

I really like Julia Stiles, too. She's cute, but real.

I think the buildup of their romance was a little stilted, but the second half really made up for it. And I also agree--it's definitely on the top of my list right now of ones to buy. But I also am looking forward to Mean Girls and 13 Going on 30, so it may have competition.

If it's on DVD by September, we may have to have a chick flick night when you're out here.  :D Like we'll have time.

I also want to see 13 going on 30 and Mean Girls.   But I think I'd do better if I"m watching both on video so I can put my attention elsewhere during the parts that always make me cringe.

I'll be the first guy to admittedly post to this thread. Julia Stiles isn't really my type. Lindsay Lohan is much more the prettier broad (as seen here: http://i.imdb.com/mptv1.gif ). But I guess Stiles can fit a roll well enough. And Jennifer Garner, ya, she's definately cute. Out of the three though, I'd choose Lindsay Lohan.

Yeah, both 13 going on 30 and Mean Girls look like fun, too, though, like you Fuzzy, I like to watch those types of movies when I can do something else during the inevitable cringing parts.  The Prince & Me had surprisingly few of those, actually.

Wow; that surprises me after reading Eric Snider's review.  Though Julia Stiles is less the type, because she doesn't tend to do the whole "make a complete idiot out of yourself"

Re: Mean Girls.  It has an 82 percent on RT, and Eric gave it an A-.

Now I MUST see it.
