AORP

Eh, it's probably not the best place to post it, and it may just be a cry for attention, but this should interest AORP members.

Not really related that much, but i think i hold the record for the longest time taken to make a character.

I promised i would make one for the AORP about... 2 months ago.
2 weeks ago i finally nailed a good concept for modifying the character i was given. Wrote down a few bits.
But i still have not messed around with the character sheet or anything.

Go me.

I posted my thoughts over there.

Yeah, Entropy, I think I just killed off the character you were modding. I think I wrote off that you were interested after 2 months

You could have a meteor hit camelot. That would remove the whole "too many NPC's" problem.

Of course, it would also remove the whole population, but...

Instead I had dragons run through and eat all but 2 or 3 of them. Same net effect, but no worries about changing the whole setting.

It also leaves room for a gold old "find the ancient dragon and poke it with sharp things until it takes the hint and dies then rob the cave" quest.

Actually, the dragons were already a part of the over all plot. I wasn't planning on unleashing 7 hasted dragons on a group of mid-level characters so soon though. Well, really, at all. It wasn't going to be a "dragon hunt" plot. It was going to be grand, and plot intensive, and require great quests.

<sigh>

Instead I made it a blood bath. I made sure that 4 characters would never be able to come back, and really, of the ones without a discernable body, probably only one of them would I bring back.

DOOOOOOOOOOOH! I accidentally pressed "modify" instead of "quote" and blew away your post, Eric. I tried to get it back but my browser reloaded the one in my history as well. I'll post my reply after this, but please don't think I erased your post on purpose! Oh the supidity of inept admins. I hope you don't mind rewriting what you posted.

a) more traffic for TWG
-- I see this as a positive thing.

b) more frequent posting for AORP
-- Again, I see this as a positive thing.

Just let us know what you'd like to do.

AH! YOU HATE ME! *cries* :'(

No, seriously. I'm trying to decide. I don't want to take more than a week-ish cuz I have the attention of a lot of people, and I don't want to lose that. But I want to feel comfortable with what I'm going to do.

I'm guessing that Eric's mangled post above had something to do with trying to decide whether to resurrect AORP here at TWG..

Yeah, was just looking for feedback from the TWG regulars who crossover with AORP.

ALso, mentioned that I'm not comfortable making the decision yet. But if I could count on everyone who posted and indicated they MIGHT post again, I'd have 9 players, which is a decent enough number.

Remember, there were a few TWG forum goers who wanted in but couldn't. You could bolster the ranks a bit with them. And with anyone who was comfortable with double posting.

This is true. And I've got to make a decision in a couple days.

So probably AORP will live.

We'll see.
