Perhaps Stonewardens(?) used plate while Windrunners used the blades.
A lot of people describe Scalzi’s Old Man's War novels as military science fiction, but I would classify its sequel Zoë’s Tale as a space opera. It’s a story about, well, Zoë, a teenage girl whose parents are invited to take leadership roles in building a colony on a new planet. Zoë is an enthusiastic member of the group sent to colonize Roanoke, despite the risks—and the risks are considerable even before the political machinations of greater powers boil to the surface. Also, I don't think the Spren are Cultivation's creation. I think that they are the Splinters of the Almighty's consciousness/power, kind of like the mist spirit in Mistborn, and (possibly) the Seons in Elantris.Makes a lot of sense, if he's Transformation, given how the Spren accompany change.
Would they become zombie like again? Or would they become normal? or would they die?"
The thing I found odd about Spren is there are none in Shinovar. So, if the theory that Cultivation decided to hide there is correct, then the Spren are a creation of the other Shard on Roshar, no?
While I think the conversation with Brandon about Galladon makes it more likely, I still think it's more likely that it's just a Dula.
my idea was that the whole custom of fighting over gemhearts and harvesting them and the importance attributed to it was a kind of oral tradition passed down over generations so that even if written histories failed or were destroyed or were lost in translation, humans would continue to harvest the gemhearts and interrupt the Voidbringer lifecycle, keeping thunderclasts from gestating.
Q: So, Kalak says that the battle was so fierce, but only one of them died. Isn't that a bit of a contradiction?
Brandon: Yes. [everyone laughs]
Brandon: You're just gonna have to read and find out. There's definitely more going on there than has been explained so far. But I really can't talk much about the prelude.
