Site News / Re: Call for Articles the Next

I'll have an article for the Magic: The Gathering prerelease coming tomorrow, coming as usual after the last moment. I'll be out there before long.

Does someone want to pick a time to play on Nathrezim? I can find time to play on any given night, so I could make it work. Let me know in advance though, so it doesn't get double-scheduled with my party on Cenarion Circle.

(I've got a good mid-high 40s Warrior/Paladin/Mage/Priest party on CC I've been playing with a lot. We're moderately in need of a 5th member though, so if anyone has a 40ish alliance side character or wants to catch up, we're looking. Currently a Rogue/Hunter/Druid would be the preferred addition, but we'd likely consider others.)

One option I won't push for at all, but that just presented itself are the new servers they just put up. Not only low-population, but new!

Further Action: Made an Orc Warlock on Nathrezim this morning. Kerzull I think was the name.

You did the quests to get the beast taming abilities, right? If so, then yeah there shouldn't have been a problem. If you moved to the next area too quickly though I could see someone missing their quests.

I guess I could try playing with you hordies on Nathrezim.  ;D

I'm still playing Alliance on Cenarion Circle and will probably be mostly there still, although I'm often not involved in anything I couldn't pull away from. Feel free to log on and look for Auriya or Seythes on Cenarion Circle if you're wanting players on Nathrezim. Sending a mail works too, of course.

Need to think about what kind of character I'll make. Orc sounds like fun, but the class...hm.

Alright, I was spacing it and not even visiting the site when this all started happening. I wasn't expecting the book until May.

So, now that the book is out and largely sold out, (from what I hear) where/when do you want me to go pick up a copy, EUOL?

I left for work without grabbing my invitation, so I don't know the address for this reception...I was hoping to leave from work for there. Could someone PM me the address for the reception?

I'll RSVP today (by my reading I'm not too late) if it's still possible. I don't get off work until 6 PM on Friday, so I'll be late, but hey...

If anyone wants a ride rather than doing the bus/walk thing, we could probably arrange something.

Thursday lunch is probably off for me, but that night is all good. Is there a separate thread for planning the bachelor party?

I bet you could get an affinity deck working even in tournaments without the artifact lands. They wouldn't be half as fast or powerful, but I don't think its a kill-blow to the whole mechanic's tournament viability.

Well although the most recent selections for You Make the Card #3 were done while I wasn't looking, I think the decisions went pretty much exactly the way I would have called them anyway. Kudos for the voters. Can't wait to see our choices for the mechanic. (Which, once again, I've missed.)

My first amateurish shot across the bow:

Put Elantris up across the top in rather big type, covering up the top part of the cover. End the cover near the bottom of the page and use the bottom to slap in a quote.

But you really need to talk to 42 here.

(Whew, I managed to get on. Stupid company firewall.)

Alright, I dredged this up because I've got all of the RahXephon series now (7 DVDs) and I'm wanting to watch it with people, if anyone is still interested. I don't have any plans made yet for when, since the nature of events will largely be decided by the amount of interest people are showing. I guess the real test will be to see if EUOL is still interested after watching some of the series with me last time.

If you want to know more about what the series is about ect, it was discussed earlier in this thread, which is why I dredged it up. Post here to let me know if you're interested in watching it sometime.

Changes in the spoiler since the posting of my article (not my fault):

* Day of Destiny is a rare, not a common...big surprise.
* Psychic Spear has a casting cost of B. That one is going to be good.

And...that's about all. There are still tons of cards that have an unknown rarity, and so I can't say that they are commons to complete my article. A real bummer...maybe Wizards is getting better at locking down on card information? (Not that it didn't stop mtgnews.com from getting all 165 cards in some form of reliability.)

I just sent in a new Prerelease Tactics for the tournament tomorrow, so that's ready to be posted. Unfortunately the rumors sites aren't doing so well this time around, and so the information I had to work off of is incomplete at best, but I can continue updating it in a thread.

Two days until the Prerelease of Betrayers of Kamigawa. Ninja coming along with the rest of the band this time...looks like a blast, and I think I've already found my most-sought-after rare for the set.

I should have a Prerelease Tactics article up again tomorrow afternoon for anyone who's interested.
