If you are surprised that that many people can get addicted to a game you play just, think of it like this....

Do you drink..Now think about how many people in the country drink alcohol.  Now how many people are addicted to that?  Same concept.  Tons of people do it, and a small minority of them get addicted to it, happens with a lot of things in life.

Also, online gamer culture is ridiculously bigger and more obsessive in asia than it is here. They're playing the same game, but having a very different experience with it.
