Scotland won the 6 nations, getting the Calcutta Cup. Woot. Defeated england 15-9.

When I kept hearing the sound of bells in the kitchen, I thought I *must* be going mad. I stepped out of my room and there was my roomie, wearing her jester hat tipped with shiny bells (from a past Halloween costume) lol. Ah, there's hope for this one yet!

So then we made enchiladas, her wearing a jester hat, me wearing a medieval crown. After that we built a fire, ate dinner, and did homework while watching Dances with Wolves. Yep, we're just party girls. 8)

(P.S. The green liquid ain't an apple martini. It's Diet Mtn Dew... Hers, of course.)

Howl's Moving Castle is at Movies 8. I think I'm in love--I'd forgotten how much I adore this movie.

I really need to see Howl's Moving Castle again. And buy the DVD. And listen to the soundtrack again. And buy the DVDS of everything else Miyazaki ever did. Including, like, primary school finger paintings.

I'm so happy. I found the safe place in which I put the business cards I thought I'd lost. Only three of them, but I was feeling unprofessional for having lost them.

whew. That's great. It's a terrible feeling when you put something important in a "safe place" and can't remember where the heck that was.

I'm happy because the family all just got to sit down and watch our dogs put on a really great show.  Watching our dogs wrestle is more fun and exciting than anything they show on 90 channels of television.

I'm happy that it is now March and no longer February.

Very true. I'm happy to see Feb. gone.

Also, registering my car only cost $86! Hurray!! I'd been bracing myself for a much more sizable amount. Yet it's so weird how I paid less for registration than I did to get a MA license that replaces my unexpired UT license. huh.

This makes me very happy I never got a MA drivers license. (It "only" costs $40 in WA, and that hurt enough.)

Ah, well, I was just following the dictates of a police officer who pulled me over in my roommate's car last year (before I had my car here). My roomie had kindly given me the use of her car while she was in Kenya for 3 weeks and I tended her dogs. Only problem was that her registration was expired. She didn't think to mention this to me.

Just my luck, I guess, but no cop spotted this little difficulty until I just happened to be driving her car, oblivious. *sigh* Luckily he waived the $50 ticket he could've given to both of us. However, he did give me grief over not having a MA license since I'd been living here for a certain amount of time. I even mentioned that I was a student, but that didn't seem to matter. Dag nab it.

BUT all that aside, I'm sort of glad I got to get a new license because that meant a new photo! My old photo shows me before I lost 90 lbs. So I may be out a big chunk of money, but now I don't have this constant reminder of what I used to look like. Yay! :D

Okay, sorry for the double post, but I got this awesome email from a guy in my Emerson writing group about my critique.

He said:
Sarah, I was just reading your feedback from my latest piece and I
wanted to thank you.  You're a fantastic reader/editor.  I hope this
is part of what you want to be doing professionally.  You have great
skills!

Thanks,
Bob
