Though I have to say that the film hardly delivers any "mortal blows" to Christianity.

I really dig this movie--a steady build-up to three absolutely terrifying scenes. Very well done.

Interesting note: Carrie and Star Wars did a joint casting call for several roles, and they ended up choosing Sissy Spacek for Star Wars and Carrie Fisher for Carrie. Then Fisher refused to do the nude scene in Carrie, so they switched.
