Over here in Aus (don't know what its like in the US, or that little junkland called the UK :D) no school I've been to has ever actually taken a bomb threat or firealarm seriously.  I spose thats cause there is less actually bombing etc. going on over here.

We had a few bomb threats when I was in school as well, and I know as far as SE goes and a couple of the other long-timers on here, ours were before Columbine and all the other actual high school events. I think the schools took the threats seriously, even back then, because no one wanted to take the chance that this time would be the one time someone actually did leave a bomb.

We only had a bomb threat once in school, and they found out who the kid was that did it, (just to get out of school, of course.)

When I worked at School Specialty we actually did have regular bomb threats.  That was always interesting, because of the chemicals stored in the building the evacuation process was rather extreme, and we had to get at least half a mile from the building.

I missed the first 3 periods of school my senior year becasue someone coverd the main entrence hallway with a "suspicious" white powser.  Turned out to be just flower (more finely ground then normal), but it took the police about 4 hours to get the tests done (this was about 8 years ago, so well before those snazy kits they have now).
Screw it, I'm buying crayons and paper. I can imagineer my own adventures! Wheeee!
