Sticky Topics?
« on: April 20, 2004, 08:29:50 AM »
What do you guys think?  Should we make some of the topics in the "Rants" and "Everything Else" sections sticky for easy location?  I'm thinking "Cool stuff found on the internet", "These stupid titles", and the two quotes threads.

I'm a bit divided on this one.  On one hand, I would like to be able to find the topics easily.  On the other, I get a little annoyed when I click on the 'News' section and immediately hit the first thread, only to realize later that it doesn't have anything new in it, it's just at the top because it's sticky.  This is probably just because that's the only section with any stick topics right now.

I don't mind, as long as they're not "Sicky."

I like certain topics to be sticky. The trick is to look for the "new" graphic rather than what's on top. Even on my dialup this is easy, since long before the graphics load there's a little space for the graphic to go in, and it's easy to see visibly what threads are new.

I don't care, quite honestly, as anyone who doesn't like it can just ignore it, just skip em and the next newest topics will be just below.  No searching necissary, instant gratification.  Like a job well done or a nuclear warhead...

I don't think the forum gets enough traffic to need stickies. All the posts you mentioned stay on the front page of the subforum anyway, so personally I don't see a need.
All Saiyuki fans should check out Dazzle! Emotionally wrenching action-adventure and quirky humor! (At least read chapter 6 and tell me if you're not hooked.) Volume 10 out now!
