You're right it is cool.  It's faster then anything Intel can make (Intel gave up on trying to make a 4 GHZ procssessor last year) and from what game designers say it can run at about 4.6GHZ.

The thing I *wish* was true, but looks like it's not, is that over a year ago when SONY and the others were developing the CELL, one of SONY's people said it would be possible to not have a graphics card in the PS3 since useing hardware for extra prossessing speed isn't needed anymore.  And the the PS3's graphics could change based off of what the game developes wanted.
