Movies and TV / Re: Coolest movie scenes of all time

The ear scene from Reservoir Dogs.  It makes me shudder.

Also, I really enjoy the scene from Citizen Kane when he is getting adopted from his parents, and he is playing out in the snow.  <sigh>  Good movie.

Oh, oh!  And the rape scene from a Clockwork Orange.  <shudder>  Good film.  Required viewing for every human.

Huh.  I enjoyed this movie, but I thought it was VASTLY inferior to both Order of the Phoenix, and the Goblet of Fire.  It was a major let-down compared to the book, but still a descent movie in and of itself.

The thing that really bugged me, though, was that they didn't include the funeral for Dumbledore.  I have a theory that they will include that in the 7th movie, though.  Also, the random scene where the weasley's house get's burned down... that was odd.

Has anyone on here gotten a chance to see Epitaph One yet?  I saw it and, frankly, it is the best episode yet.  Felecia Day was spot on, and the whole concept was interesting to me.  I really hope that the show is able to continue on the direction that was pointed out there.

Yeah, I know that.  I've followed some projects that will probably never be made.  Just being optimistic.  It'd be nice to have a Mistborn movie, and Mr. Sanderson would get a lot more money, and that would be nice for him.  <shrug>

Okay.  Good to know, I guess.  Hope they'll come out with some information about it soon.  Well, first I better hope that the project doesn't fall through.

Brandon Sanderson / Mistborn Movie

So, as I am sure most of you already know, Brandon has said that there is a chance of a Mistborn movie happening somewhat soon.

Who is in charge of the Mistborn movie you mentioned at the #tweettheauthor?

Thank you so much, I love your books!

It is a small production studio, so nobody you'd recognize.  The producer is a fan of the Mistborn books who has some credentials in independent films, and who has impressed me with his treatment of the books and his determination to make the film.  This individual is starting a production company to focus on the film.  We're in the contract stages now, and once that is done, I can be more specific.

It's not like the Alcatraz movie, which was optioned directly by a studio.  Because of that, the Mistborn movie is probably a lot less likely to happen--but, the hands it is in are quite good.  Anything having to do with Hollywood is a long-shot in the first place, so (after meeting with the producer) I decided that I'd rather take the slightly more unlikely chance in exchange for the opportunity to work with someone I felt understood the books.

So, I was wondering if there was any more news than what he has given us here?  Any speculation that you have about the film?  Anything?  Sorry if this has been covered in another thread.  I couldn't find one, but I'm pretty new here, so I could have overlooked it, or something.... <shrug>
