If you're ever in an argument and Entropy winds up looking staid and temperate in comparison, it might be time to cut your losses and start a new thread about something else :)

my desktop at work is infinitely more interesting than my desktop at home, which I keep pristine, but here you go.

So it's not that interesting, but I did take that picture myself.

EUOL got me a Anime-style Harry Potter screensaver, but I'm such a Marie GrandPre fan/purist that it kind of weirded me out. However, the memory of it stuck with me and is kind of growing on me now. I think when I get back to Utah I'll have him put it on my computer and maybe he'll help me put a link to display it--it's pretty cool.

I had one of the Windows default called "Red moon desert" for awhile because I thought it was cool and it reminded me of Dune. Right now I have the yellow tulips one because I need something happy and calming (although my family is not getting as much on my nerves as they could be).

I really like those yellow tulips. Yellow is happy, and tulips are happy, and together, they make a very happy arrangement.

I don't change my desktop very often. In fact, I changed it right before posting because I'd had a flower picture on it (that I'd taken years ago) for forever. I never really use pictures other than ones I've taken myself, and I really should branch out to more interesting things, but I just don't normally take the time to look for stuff like that. I had some LotR desktop/screensavers for a while, but they weren't terribly interesting, just headshots of the actors. If I were to do it again, I'd look for scenic shots from the movie. Mistress of Darkness has given me directions on how to capture screenshots from your DVD--perhaps I could capture a fun shot and use it on my desktop.

Mainly, though, I'm too lazy to go do it. :)

The angel is from Deviant Art. I just went to the site and searched for angels. This one was called "Four-winged Angel" if I remember correctly.

Just a warning to those of you with sensitive eyes: there are a large quantity of R-rated pictures on Deviant Art.

I generally change my desktop once every few weeks.  I google for a cool image using the keyword "Forest".

I'm just a Forest sort of guy that way.

...that was a joke.  Most of you probably don't get it.

like bigfoot, or forest gumb, or possibly a hippie, although there is a chance that you could be going for an extremely obscure reference to homosexuality, but i doubt anyonje outside the SB area would know that one.
