Haha very funny article.  I like how they mentioned Kylar ( Night Angle Trilogy) and how the police officer said, " you don't take a 1000 page book to the head and survive."   :D

If Odium killing Aona possibly caused the Reod then I wonder what Odium's murder of Skai did to Sel.

I feel very stereotypical, but the longest novel I've read is also The Way of Kings ( which clocks in at 1008 pages).

Thanks so much for the help everyone.  You guys are awesome.  Anyway I have one more question if you guys can answer it.

1) What time do each of Brandon Sanderson's books go on during the history of the Cosmere?

P.S-  I was wondering this because if Aona and Skai are dead and Odium messed everything up was that the cause of the Chasm in Arelon on the planet Sel.  So I'm just confused on what time during the Cosmere's history are all the books going on at.  I know I've been told this before I just forget.

Brandon Sanderson / I'm confused with Adonalsium. Can anyone help me?

Okay I have a few questions.  I 'm a big fan of Brandon's but am still needing to get a grasp on the whole Adonalsium thing.  Not that you guys haven't been a  GIANT help so far.  Here are my questions:

1) How did you guys find out about all this Adonalsium and stuff?
2) What's the basic background of Adonalsium, the Cosmere and Hoid ( with WoK spoilers)?
3) What are the shards so far and what are their powers and such ( without WoK spoilers)?

P.S- Thank you and sorry for troubling you guys about the WoK spoilers and, it's just that i"m almost halfway through and I don't want the ending spoiled.  I think you guys understand.

Brandon Sanderson / Re: Casting for Warbreaker
« on: June 03, 2010, 11:48:54 PM »
OK, the cast is one thing, but what about the rest of the staff?

Has anyone here seen the movie The Fall?

Whoever is responsible for making that movie one of the best looking things I have ever seen needs to be in some way involved in the art direction of Warbreaker.

surreal, fantastic, and colorful, it's the perfect visual comparison to the way T'Telir needs to look

here:
http://thefallthemovie.com/
take a look at the gallery.
there are scenes that take place in 1920's California, and scenes that take place in a fantasy story one of the characters tells, as imagined by the little girl he tells it to.

I don't want to be too off topic here but I just watched the trailer for The Fall and you are right whoever did the imagery or art direction for this movie needs to be heavily involved in the making of Warbreaker.  Just the colors in the trailer were beautiful.  That one picture of the two characters on the cliff looking over the colorful blue city by the sea made me have a relapse of what it was like to read about T'Telir.

Books / Re: anyone else get sleepy when they read?
« on: March 31, 2010, 12:15:36 AM »
I agree with mack.  I tend to get more tired if I'm reading late at night, sometimes it doesn't matter how good the book is I can still fall asleep.  But reading in the middle of the day can also make me get the feeling that I need to take a nap.

Thank you.  I will check out Tad Wuilliam's Memory, Sorrow and Thorn Trilogy.  I do enjoy the classic epic fantasy.

I have a feeling if it's boring to you it'd be boring for me.  I tend to like having really exciting or intriguing beginnings or else the book isn't worth it to me.

An easy to read fantasy series that is so far really good is the Study Series by Maria V. Snyder.  I'm only on the second book (Magic Study) but so far the series as wowed be.  And to the benefit of fans of this series she has written two books in a trilogy set in this world that take place after this trilogy so that's five books for your enjoyment!
