Mac vs. PC

An on going debate many people disagree on. What are your thoughts? Personally, I can see it from both sides considering I do own a Mac and a PC.
Your vision will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.

It all depends on what you want to do with your computer.

Think the saying goes  "think of computers as cars, PC can drive on all the roads but only go 35 MPH, when Macs can drive 55 MHP, but only on 5% of the roads"

Uhm.... this topic makes me nervous.
Be careful that you don't fight. (Not saying you have, just this is a likely topic to do it)

I own a mac and a pc too, however i think that saying is moot, because I have windows emulator on my mac as well as OSX tiger so I can drive 55mph just about anywhere... even in yo grandmas bedroom, but seriously I have yet to run into something I can't handle with my mac, which is why I never use my pc.

Good ol' emulators...

My opposition to Apple lately has been with their approach to try and buckle down on Free Culture.  They are way too sympathetic with the RIAA for my tastes.

And I've never heard of a non-Apple Mac.  Can someone enlighten me as to whether they even exist?

I will accept PCs. I despise Macs.

However, seeing as a PC generally entails Windows, I should make it clear I am a Linux girl through and through.

What I find funny is most people who despise a Mac have never really used a Mac to its fullest potential.

I like Macs, but I use Windows as it is the OS most suited to my personal needs. I'd go Mac a long time before I went Linux.

I have a love/hate relationship with computers in general.  If my PC at home and my Mac at work are doing what they are supposed to, then I love them both. If they start wigging out on me (my work one likes to do this when I have big deadlines approaching), then I hate them.

I think computers love to hate me.

I only own a PC, but I have nothing against MACs. I have found that whether a PC or a MAC is better depends on individual computer habits. Thus, their really are "PC people" and "MAC people" and the indecisive "PC/MAC people".

I use both, I like how mac "feels" but aside from some basic security issues I dont think I would say it was better. Just different and maybe a little more intuitive. Which can be bad, because it gets people to tinker less and good because they have less of a need too.

Still both Mac and PC offer ample amounts of computing fun.

I've found that there is a lot of tinkering you can do with a Mac.

I guess now I work entirely on PCs, but I used to use Macs quite a bit.

I didnt mean no tinkering per se- just that the more graphical and intuitive an OS is the less likely a layman is going to tinker...

I mean DOS practically screamed fool around with me.

DOS still does, and it's sad the amount I used to type run - cmd to get stuff done in XP. I really should get around to reformatting so the DOS prompt works again.
