I'm seeing a place here for mod-bots.
News:
"Magic is what makes fantasy fantastic," someone says, "you can't apply rules to them or else it loses wonder!" I respond, "Sure, but if you want to write them you will certainly want to know how they work." Writing is all about execution, and I find applying some basic laws of physics to magic systems make them more understandable and realistic. Here, I'm going to outline my basic method for developing a magic system.

I just got a new temp program which has glitchy things that wont let me put the shared music into the library - Instead I am restricted to the random single tracks that are sitting around my local stuff, which are there for unknown reasons.

I think it's perfectly feasible he included surrent themes and wrote a sort-of allegory, unintentionally. It's hard not to write about the time in which you live. Even when you are writing about historic Middle-Earth.
