I'm happy because I have 6 (paid) days off work.

I'm happy because I get to go home early next year (haven't been back to Utah since November of 2003).  I'd like to make it back home in Lagoon weather, instead of skiing weather, but we'll take it one step at a time.

I'm happy because I'm getting promoted on the first.

I'm happy because my daughter is finally learning to crawl.
Admittedly, I may regret that last one in a few days.   ;D

I'm happy that in my tedious work shift got interrupted by a chance to call the fire department.

...and many more! :D (Happy b-day Dr. Jeffe!)

I'm in a happy mood because I made breakfast this morning: whole wheat French toast w/ lite maple syrup and ripe strawberries, plus some OJ. Yum, yum.

Now I'm as prepared as I'll ever be to meet the challenges of creating a P&L statement for my book financing project... *gack*

Is that real maple syrup?

Real maple syrup is yummy.  Light (clair) maple syrup is better (I prefer it, at least).

Neither, sad to say. You'd think that being out here in New England I'd let myself indulge in the "real" stuff. But I've got the Log Cabin Lite syrup instead. Lo-cal stuff, but tastes pretty dang good to me! We Americans gotta do something to counter the effects of Thanksgiving.   ;)

Counter the effects of Thanksgiving! Blasphemy! For me, Thanksgiving comes only twice a year and I celebrate for two weeks at a time just for good measure. Speaking of, I just made my fifth pie tonight.

I'm happy because this is the first time I've been able to get away from my family and get online. I was feeling TWG deprived.

But it's fun to be with my family, even if it is exhausting. I'll have fun pictures to share in the near future. You guys have to see my adorable neice and nephew!

Sliders the TV show?

I had a brief passionate addiction to it. It was cool.

No it was like my first exposure to a scifi show and I was fascinated by the premise. That and my Young Women's leader Kerri (who was my really good friend--she was 26 and recently married without kids and we would hang out and have sleepovers) liked it as well, so we started to get together each week to watch it.

Okay, and maybe we thought Quinn was cute too.

Ah, Sliders! I loved that show--and Quinn, too, naturally.  ::)

I'm happy because Ari was invited over to dinner by a young married couple in the ward last night.  It was good and we had fun.  And Ari's pie is delicious.
