Well, I had to give them a little, but they did give me a $200 discount. So that's enough to afford a bed.  :-/

Well since it looks like we may be moving out of state in a month or two it's good to know who NOT to go with...

Yes, definitely do NOT use Viking or Eagle. Also, if you use a van line, check to be sure they don't contract out with Eagle. I actually did my research and found a lot of bad reviews on Eagle, which is why I didn't use them. Then it turns out that Viking contracts their long-distance stuff to Eagle without actually disclosing that in the contract.

I'm happy because I got to hang out with two of my best friends from high school (who are still my best friends but are married and one lives in California and the other is moving to New Mexico this week so I don't get to see them as much as I'd like). We always have fun together. As we drove up to Salt Lake, Melanie and I laughed for the entire hour. Then when we got there we made cracks and joked with my other best friend Dayna (she's pregnant and it was her baby shower) for the entire two hours, like we were stand-up comedics. And then Melanie and I laughed all the way home. My face hurt after laughing so much, but I felt really good in my heart.

I love being with Melanie. She brings out a really quirky side of me. Like she said at the end of the evening--"I love hanging out with you. It doesn't matter what we do, I know that if you are going to be there we're going to have fun." That was such a nice thing to say, and it's so true about her and me.

I am happy that I am blessed with so many wonderful friends, both new and old. I am happy that people care about me and that I bring joy to their lives. This may be a bit sappy, but I'm just bursting with happiness and that doesn't always happen and I wanted to share.

I'm happy because last night I went jogging with my best friend for an hour and it felt great.  Hooray for exercise.

I'm happy because someone at work traded shifts with me, which means I'll actually be able to go to the doctor.

I'm happy because my library books are NOT overdue.

I thought they were due yesterday, and I went with EUOL at 11 to return them to the BYU library, unaware that because it is summer school the library closes at 10 instead of 12. As if people go to bed earlier in the summer!!! But, I checked the dates and realized that the books are due today, not yesterday. Which makes me super happy because I had 20 books and at a dollar per book per day that would have been $20 and I don't have that kind of money to spend on overdue library books. I thought I was going to have to use my charm to talk them out of the fee--or at least the excuse that I didn't know the summer hours. But all of that has been avoided. Yay!

You know, they often waive library fees if you're really sweet to them. I think I only had to pay a fine once. But good that you didn't have to use up your charm reserve. Save it for when you really need it.  ;)
