Except for the fact that they look deadish, and Hrathen is apparently wearing a red bathrobe instead of red armor, and that it may very well have been used as a vampire-romance cover at some point in the past...well...I guess I don't really like it.

MsFish, I just have to say I wanted you to choose "McFish" as your name.  It would have been so great.  And as for the cover, I think it looks cool in a weird romance vampire book sort of way.

You know, it's not that I don't like the cover, so much as that I don't think it fits Elantris very well. It looks pretty cool, for another book.

I don't care for the two vampires they have in the front, but I think the background looks very neat.  Oh and Orson Scott Card's name is about the same size as Brandon's.  Just thought I'd point that out.

I really like this cover. Hrathen's red cape makes a great contrast to the blue background. The colors are great. The poses, though, are not so great.

But Elantris is an over the top romance novel, or have you people not been reading the reviews?  Heck the only thing its missing is Fabio (Wouldn't that be cool).

I think the artist got how Elantrians look mixed up with regular people, after all that's how Raoden looks right after the Sheod (or how ever you spell it).

Yes, my thoughts exactly. While I do like the colors and the gothic-esque background, I don't think it represents the book very well.  

Senorita Sarene is dark-haired for one thing. She's also got this terribly rapturous expression on her face and a pose that makes her look like she's under a love spell, just about to faint into her lover's arms. This ain't the light-haired, forceful Sarene I know and love. Sure, I see that the appearance is catering to that ethnicity, but . . .

Anyway, I'm not too fond of the vampiric Hrathen either.  Long nails (yikes) and draping robes. Doesn't he look rather old too? Oh, what's with the lower left-hand corner with half of a naked man/baby/cupid statue showing? Well, at least it's an eye-catching cover, even though it doesn't really reflect the characters and content in my mind. Hmm.

I like the font for the title.

I think the poses, though, are over the top and look like they're suppose to be for a romance novel set in the 19th century. The quote from Orson Scott Card looks out of place where it is. It's aligned center with the title, but I think that was a mistake.
