So... how 'bout that weather?
« on: September 17, 2004, 09:23:47 PM »
To listen to the media output, there are approximately fifteen tornados, on my doorstep, just waiting for me to dare to get in a car and try to go anywhere, at which point they will violently throw me into the nearest... well... anything. Possibly to Oz.

From the disparate accounts, I can only identify four different tornados, all of which ended about 2 hours ago, but that's still quite a bit. Spooky weather if you don't have to compete with a series of three hurricanes hitting the same spot in as many weeks.

Well Saint, I dont know, hurricanes are a big deal but I dont think that that downplays 15 tornadoes that much. Wait! I have an idea! Now, do you have Dark Side of the Moon?

Everyone should have Dark Side of the Moon.  I would find it hard to believe if Saint said he didn't.  Which, now that I have said that, he wont, with my luck.  Don't Drink and Drive.

I er... always listened to my brother's copy in HS. I have every track from the album, most of them live copies from albums like Pulse and such... but I don't own Dark Side itself. I am ashamed. It is a major hole in my collection.

Of course, I *do* have Ummagumma, which puts me a step above many others.

Oh wait, strike that. I do have it. I apparently ripped it off my brother. Ha! That's what brothers are for!

So they have a purpose? I think mine might be an exception. Actually mine can be decent, it is just rare. He too lets me borrow his music sometimes. But for the most part I hate him.

No, but my dad has several I think and he is really cool. My dad, by the way, is a huge music buff. His collection includes about 800 cds.

Eric, I certainly hope that's Jeff's copy...or else flying pigs will soon be at you door!

Not that I can't spare one, I have several copies myself.  And if you count concert recordings, I have close to 30 or so copies of it.

Speaking of weather, we just got the tail end of one of those endless hurricanes, which hit a cold front or something and the end result is a LOT of rain today. It's 10am but I don't feel like getting up. It's been a long week and the sun  isn't out. I have to go grocery shopping, but I don't wanna go in the rain!

It's raining pretty hard up here in New Hampshire, too.  My dog does not like it.  I just hope it lets up before I have to go in for my OT shift this afternoon.

But at least the rain didn't keep the Sox from slipping past the Yanks last night!

then I can be grateful for that at least. It's over in your mountains, not in my commute.
