Geez, I completely forgot that I have pack meeting tonight (sometimes I wish I could forget....). I have to go because I'm in charge of the Webelos skit.

Go on without me. I've already sent Jade more comments than he can handle anyway ;D. And he can always email me if he has questions later.

I think it went well. You'd have to ask JK for sure though, he's the one who got raked over the coals. ANd yeah, it is your turn NEssa. Just get it to me a day or two ahead of time.

Guitarbabe sounds like a good candidate for the group to me. I'd be happy to have her in on the disussions. I want to stick with the read twice before you submit rule though. Which means her turn will be on....March 7th. Unless we step up these meetings. I am back in enough of a groove to probably add a third meeting a month to the mix. It'd help us get through the rotation faster.

Poor Jade. Was it really that bad? Were any of the comments I sent helpful?

I'll send out chapters this week sometime. I have a little fine tuning to do first.

Three meetings a month...I'm not quite sure yet if I can swing that. Unless people are willing to get written comments from me on the nights I can't be here in person. I might be more willing if I knew I could depend on those nights (instead of the more frequent rescheduling we seem to be experiencing these days).  There's too much going on right now I have to do, but by March I could easily do it more often.

In the summer I won't be around at all because of moving and stuff. But that's far enough off not to worry about right now.

What a great meeting! Thanks y'all! You were all very helpful and insightful, giving me great ideas and helping me clarify. I had been despairing lately about the story and now I'm all pumped up. Yay!

Next meeting is February 21st, and it's SE's turn to send out material.

OK, here's the deal.

The group is getting bigger. If Shrain joins we will have five people submitting. If we keep going at the current rate of two meetings per month the rotation will just be too slow.

Also, Shrain can't meet at our regularly scheduled time. Is everyone OK with changing times? Give me a list of days/times that would work for you.

Possible solutions:

* Keep it at two meetings a month, but review two stories per meeting (possibly submiting shorter exerpts).

* Meet more often, like once a week, or three days a month. How many times a month are you willing to meet?

Anything else we need to address?

I'm back to being able to do once a week. However, I"m tight for times. 9pm is about the time I can do things. It's early enough that I can still get to bed, but late enough that I'm done with the kids by then. moving too far in any direction is a bit rough. Though I'm flexible on days.

I'm also comfortable with the size right now. I've no problem with Shrain joining, but I think we should prioritize meetings for extant members.
