Dragon used to be very good. In the late 80s they would frequently run new games, GM approaches, new ways of using old rules, and even have stuff about other games, as well as the new rules stuff. The first 5 "Best of Dragon" compendiums were worth getting. I haven't read it since WotC bought TSR though. Ah... more nostalgiary, I suppose...

Both Dungeon and Dragon will occationally have some real impressive artwork.  Like the Dungeon issue with Wayne Renolds' painting of Warduke.  That issue was worth buying just for the Critical Hit.

wow, you realy left out a lot of magazines, 'course I don't expect you to discuss Palladiums or mongooses but I thought you'd include polyhedron even though it's another wizards, but it dose cover non-wizards d20 stuff.

I find it strange that there isn't an independent industry magazine for RPGs that's well knowen and that everyone gets their info from websites instead.
Screw it, I'm buying crayons and paper. I can imagineer my own adventures! Wheeee!

I just wanted to hit the highlights.  There are a lot of small press mags out, but I never see them on the shelf at my gaming store, let alone in any book chain.  So I hit the ones I'm familiar with.

I did mention Polyhedron though.  Mainly in passing...

we sort of are. But that wasn't my point. I was grouping us with the online sources instead of magazines.

When I contact new companies I usually refer to us an Internet gaming magazine.

Which is how I refer to it in conversations about my resume.

I just didn't refer to it as such in this thread.
