A while back I stumbled across something in my scholarly studies. Jedi lightsabers use a "diatium" battery. This got me thinking. This is the result:
Definitions
[/b]
Metal - Any of a category of electropositive elements that usually have a shiny surface, are generally good conductors of heat and electricity, and can be melted or fused, hammered into thin sheets, or drawn into wires. Typical metals form salts with nonmetals, basic oxides with oxygen, and alloys with one another.
Alkali Metal - any of the group of univalent metals including potassium, sodium, lithium, rubidium, cesium, and francium, whose hydroxides are alkalis.
Hydrogen - Hydrogen is a considered a nonmetal at normal temperature and pressure. Though at very high pressure millions of times that of earth it is theorized that is will form into a metal. Also it is placed on the periodic table as an alkali metal.
Jedi - Any member in the knightly order in Star Wars that are trained to defend justice and peace in the universe
Jedi Consular - A Jedi who focuses on the use of the force. They often specialize in a small section of the force.
Jedi Knight - Those Jedi who fight for peace in their own way.
Jedi Weapons Master - A Jedi who focuses strongly on the use of weapons.
Jedi Master - A Jedi who is well versed in all forms of the force and has spent years honing their abilities.
Force - An energy that moves through everything in the universe and can be manipulated by those sensitive to its presence.
Force Precognition - Those who use the force to guide their movements in battle
Force Lightning - A force ability which creates lightning
Force Push - The ability to use the force to push others away
Force Persuade - The ability to use the force to influence others decisions.
Battle Meditation - The use of the force to increase the morale of your team while decreasing the morale of opponents
Destroy Droid - A force ability that destroys droids
Misting - A person who can ingest metals and use them to cause effects. Usually can only use one metal
Mistborn - A Misting who can burn any of the Allomantic Metals
Allomancy - The ability to ingest and burn metals to create a desired effect
Pewter Arm - One who can burn Pewter to make themselves stronger and faster
Rioter/Soother - Mistings who can affect the emotions of others
Coinshot/Lurcher - Misting that can push and pull metal from them
Seer - A Misting who can use Atium to see a short distance into the future.

Hydrogen can be used as a push/pull metalHydrogen is currently classified as an alkali metal on the periodic table of elements. Though it is theorized that at extremely high pressures it would crystallize the same way that other metals do. If a Misting could learn to focus strongly enough on these metals they could push and pull Hydrogen.
How this could be used for Force LightningIf the Misting pushed all of the positively charged Hydrogen molecules one direction it would in turn cause lightning to occur.
Abilities such as force choke and othersThese would require one to be a Mistborn, where it would require the ability to push and pull hydrogen molecules around the enemies neck at the same time to create a large amount of pressure.
How a lightsaber works.I'm assuming that Atium is an extremely good material to make batteries out of, because the only thing that makes lightsabers hard to make is getting enough power small enough.
