hrm... a variety of TWG posts quotes would be interesting. I personally like 42's "Bad deus ex machina monkey! Bad" which is related to writing. or even Fuzzy's current quote from slant.

We could be RICH!

My concern about the idea, however, is that we're using TWG quotes to promote brandonsanderson.com. Won't that confuse people?

Ya that's true, I thought of that.  We could make them TWG shirts (and even sell them through the site).    But, and I may be predejuce, I think we should use world con to promote EUOL.  Though, it would be a good place to advertise both.
Screw it, I'm buying crayons and paper. I can imagineer my own adventures! Wheeee!

yeah, well, there are several days of worldcon, so we could do both.

Now I need to think about brandonsanderson.com shirts. Maybe just the logo and the URL would work.

I'll research the cafepress thing. Someone do cartoon versions of the following posters: Sprig, Jeffe, SE, Entropy, Gemm, MoD, Fuzzy, Fell, EUOL, Slant, HoM, 42, stacer, and uh... I'm sure I"m missing a "regular" who is quotable.

Then, we can put them on T-shirts with a great quote, and we can see who sells the most thus telling us who the most pop culture among us is!

Well two things:
1) make sure it's ok with Fell.  Which I'm sure you where planning on doing.
2) make sure the people we quote are ok with it.  Since they wouldn't get any of the money.  Indirectly they might considering we'd use the profit to improve TWG.

One more thing!

I'm not a Con efficinado, so I'm not sure about this.  But how were you planning on selling them?  If its out of backpack (which is what I was assumeing) do you have to get a vendor lincence?

I hadn't thought about a vendor license, but that's a good point. I guess I figured Fell and anyone else would show up and object, since I'm chronically lazy and none of this will go down today or this week, and the con isn't for 5 more months, that gives plenty of time for response.

That'd be groovy.

Also, don't put the url on the back. Because, yeah, they see the quote and think 'thats pretty funny'. But they don't think 'boy, i wonder what its like on the other side?'

Only women with exceptionally nice backsides should have URL's on the back i think.
If you're ever in an argument and Entropy winds up looking staid and temperate in comparison, it might be time to cut your losses and start a new thread about something else :)

ideally, URLs should be on the front and back, and sleeves. If you're advertising, you want people to see the important stuff no matter what angle they're looking at you from.

in a bold move, Ehlersco announced that they would no longer be feeling guilty over anyone not mentioned on a list that specifically stated it was probably not all inclusive.

Ehlersco continues its long honored tradition of not doing anything to purposefully affect any individual's self perception for good or ill. The sole exception being Ehlersco President and Patron Saint.
