Or GURPS or TWERPS. .... well maybe not TWERPS. Those games are just a little too generic and I want my life to be more cinematic than that. D20 is a good roleplaying system, but not for my life. My life should be more of a butt kicking, kung fu wielding, gun using world of Magic and excitement. I dont need to worry about attacks of opportunity or falling damage from a height of ten feet. I could care less about the difference between a Bec de Corbin and a Falchard.
If I had to have a game system define my life I'd have to go with the movie stylings of Feng Shui. The rules are the most advantageous to the player, the stunts are cooler and easier to pull off and hey everyone speaks cantonese.

I voted for Hackmaster because it's the most unrealistic of the group.
and I think reality is that unreal and harsh
I didn't take it as a popularity or a fantasy question. but "Dear Sir, You may be right." (H.L. Mencken's response to most all correspondence, good or bad, he received).

I voted for FFX.
Because I'm a fanboy.
-
I voted for Inquisitor for two reasons:
1) It's only an RPG half the time and I only have a life half the time.
2) The unlikeliness that you'll get to actually use all of your actions is similar to the unlikeliness that I'll ever get anything done.
-
I have to assume that people are voting for d20 because it allows them to rules-lawyer their way out of all of life's problems.
-
I voted for White Wolf, since i want to have a character sheet that consists of something other than combat scores (or lack thereof), spell lists (or lack thereof) and mainly combat skills (or... you get the idea).
-
I voted for FFX because:
1) I'm a fanboy
2)Yuna is hot
3) This is the most important. When ever you need cash just kill a monster. Heck a coulpe of goblins and you've got rent for that month

I won't say what I voted for, but I will say that it is the only system out of those that I know. So what good would it be for me to vote for a system that I know nothing about? Sha-zam!
-
I abstain from voting until they invent a system that gives me free pizza.
-
I voted for Hackmaster (is anyone really surprised?). If those were life's rules, think about how cool life's GM screen would be.
-
The GM screen would probably kill small children when it fell.
As far as WW, I like having a lot of unenforceably irrelevant material on my sheet too
Wait. No I don't...
-
So would GMs be like the upper-class of society and players the lower-class?
What about FFX (not being a true RPG and all)? There would be some sort of omnipresent machine controling everyone (and perhaps using us all as batteries).
I'm so glad RPGs and life don't resemble each other...or do they?
-
I feel it a comforting thought that there is a great machine out there generating all my scenarios and life experiences. It makes me feel like i'm giving my energies to something greater. That my power makes things possible... er... what color was the pill you gave me?
-
I took the Paisley PILL!!!!!
Hackmaster would have been my second choice, but only because I like killing gazebo's.
The question by the way isn't what system would you play with, but rather what system would be ideal for your life. You don't even really have to know too much about it. D20 is frankly too general to be cool. Feng Shui fits the bill perfectly, Im the hero,, people I don't know the names of are mooks, and I can beat em no problem. Cool stunts are rewarded and life is a non stop thrill ride. Plus I don't have to explain anything. So Long Nails Fu long Im coming for you!!!!
Now all I need is a cool techno soundtrack.....

"Gazeebo Boy found his one power of transformation useless against the Human Termite."
-
Actually, I voted for TWERPS -- just because I wish life were that simple. I was surprised that I was the only one.
