Well, if you spent most of your life hearing a voice that told you to kill everyone, you would probably go a little batty, too.  That was a good twist, but I think it fits in with the overall Prophecy twist.  It is another clue to how Ruin is manipulating Hemallurgy and Feruchemy.

No, actually.  I have never really posted before I started here.  My goal with this was to change things up a bit.  The other threads are all about key elements to the story.  This was meant to be more casual.

Yeah.  One of his annotations (I believe in book 1 when Vin first learns about gold).  He says that he has been deliberately vague on gold and electrum, and he is saving them for future stories.

I still haven't seen any real tells that Oreseur was replaced.  Tensoon would have adapted Oreseur's personality exactly.  His change in personality was due to being forced to become a dog, which apparently all Kandra find insulting.  The real Oreseur from the epilogue was just as borderling condescending as the fake one. 

The prophecy is right up there, too.  Although, you find out the truth before Vin does, and it changes from a sudden shock to a race to see if Sazed can stop her before she gives the power away.  If the first we'd have known for sure something was wrong was when we read "I...AM...FREEEEEE!"  That would really have floored everyone.  Don't get me wrong, I actually preferred it the way it was written.  Tensoon was just more surprising to me than finding out the Well was evil.

It wasn't so much the best as least expected.  There were some clues as to Rashek's identity, as well as the Well Spirit's true intentions, even if some of it was near the point where you find out anyway.  The discovery that Oreseur was actually Tensoon was completely unexpected by me.  I don't think I would have ever seen that coming.

I know what you mean.  Have you read Warbreaker yet?  I bet you haven't read a fantasy author who let's you have input on a story he is still writing!  I have read it twice now, and the story's evolution and refinement are fun to watch.

 Can Hemallurgy repair the geodes that produce Atium?  My theory is based on the fact that Allomancy and Hemallurgy seem to be opposing magic systems.  We know that the mists are attracted by Allomancy and repelled by Hemallurgy.  Since using Allomancy around Atium geodes destroys them, would Hemallurgy have the opposite affect?  I figured I'd post something interesting and most likely irrelevant, just for some fun discussion.
