Title: MS Walk 2005
Post by: Fellfrosch on March 28, 2005, 02:45:19 PM
I don't typically send mass emails about charity walks, but my Mom was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis when I was about one year old and I've lived in its shadow most of my life. This year she's healthy enough that she wants to attempt the charity walk, so my family and I will be joining her on April 9.

The odds of us finding a cure for MS lying somewhere along the walk route is fairly low, I imagine, so we'll have to rely on raising funds for medical research. If any of you are interested in donating, you can do it online at her team website here: https://www.nationalmssociety.org//UTU/personal/default.asp?pa=51900667&pd=UTU0EWLK20050409SLC

I think the site makes you register before donating, which is kind of a pain, but it's a good cause. And I'll keep my eye out for a cure while I'm walking, just in case.

I'm offended that you made jokes while discussing this serious illness, even if those jokes weren't specifically related.

Anyway, consider a donation made, jerkface.

I just generally get offended. I'll look at the donation budget to see what's available.

Mustard has to make a donation because he's not coming to the walk, even though, technically, she's his mother. Though I suppose that if he's contributing money and I'm just walking around in circles, he's making a more important contribution.

I walked for cancer last summer, and it didn't seem to do any good.  Maybe they ought to have us all walking on a big treadmill, which spins a turbine, which generates electricity.  They could sell that electricity to the power company, and use the money to find a cure.  It's a thought.

But who will use it Hom? Yeah, thats right.

But yeah, after my car is mostly fixed and I've paid off that part of my debt I'll see what I can do.
